1. Byron Buxton homered twice in a crucial series.
Buxton’s return to the lineup is a total net positive, offensively and of course with the glove. Although he raced into the gap in left-center Sunday to record an out, and in the process he collided with Eddie Rosario’s extended left arm and the left fielder’s wrist/arm bent in a way that wasn’t in the original designs. The Twins say it’s just a bruise on Rosario’s elbow, so we’ll see what the means for the long-term outfield arrangement. For now, probably more Jake Cave and LaMonte Wade Jr., since Marwin Gonzalez has taken Luis Arraez’s place, at least temporarily, as the everyday second baseman. A lot of mo…
